Bore Tech’s Muzzle Guards are an essential tool for properly cleaning firearms from the muzzle. Shielding the barrel’s crown from accuracy affecting damage caused by rod drag or rod strike, our Muzzle Guards simply and effectively provide the necessary protection.
Made from barrel safe brass, our muzzle guards center the cleaning rod in the barrel and prevent the cleaning rod from dragging or striking the crown during cleaning. Simply slide the guard onto the cleaning rod before your brush, jag, mop, etc. and you are ready to safely clean your firearm from the muzzle.

Muzzle Guard Use Instructions
1. Slide the muzzle guard onto the cleaning rod before attaching any accessories. The large, flat face with knurled edge should face the handle of the cleaning rod.
2. After attaching an accessory to the end of the rod, carefully insert the accessory into the barrel.
3. Once the tip of the rod is flush with the muzzle, gently slide the muzzle guard down into the barrel. With your free hand, grasp the muzzle guard and barrel in one hand. Pass the cleaning rod down the barrel and back while holding the muzzle guard in place.
4. When finished cleaning, remove accessory and slide muzzle guard off rod.
Q: What do I clean my muzzle guard with after use?
A: When using Bore Tech Cleaners, simply use warm water. We recommend rubbing the guard between your palms while warm tap water flows over.
